Baby Oral Health Program

Bella Dental is a full service family dental office. Our goal is to provide quality dental care at every stage in our patient’s life. In order to provide the best opportunity for a lifetime of healthy dental habits and oral health, we have created the Bella Baby Oral Health Program.  

Here are a few tips to remember with your precious little ones:

We recommend wiping your baby’s gums with a warm wash cloth before teeth erupt. After the eruption of their first tooth, using a small, soft toothbrush with a tiny smear of toothpaste (smaller than a grain of rice) is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Try not to put your baby down to sleep with a bottle of milk. If at all possible, wipe their gums with the wash cloth after their feeding to eliminate any milk or formula that might be hanging around.

Motivating them about brushing their teeth and involving them in the process is highly encouraged. Dr. Gambella and Dr. Hanna believe your child can learn from your good example and when they are the appropriate age, they can observe you getting your cleaning and exam and see how easy and comfortable the appointment is.
