Dental implants can do wonders for our Greensboro patients who suffer from tooth loss or severely damaged teeth. Bella Dental we offer quality dental implant services for our patients seeking to restore their smile to its natural state.
The type of dental implant procedure that a patient will receive can vary from patient to patient, depending on the amount of bone left around a damaged tooth, and several other factors. The first step in receiving dental implants from Bella Dental, is scheduling a consultation appointment with Dr. Gambella to determine which type of implant surgery is right for you.
Standard Dental Implant Surgeries
At Bella Dental we offer a standard dental implant surgery, which may be used for a standard implant or our All-On-4 implant technique. Typically, a standard implant procedure consists of three stages and takes place over a number of months. After an initial consultation with Dr. Gambella, patients undergoing a standard implant surgery will come in for the first step of their procedure.
- Step One – During this first appointment Dr. Gambella or Dr. Hanna will place the implant itself. Once the implants are placed, they will be stitched up to allow the implant to fuse into the jawbone for a strong foundation.
- Step Two – During the second phase of a standard dental implant surgery, which usually occurs 3-6 months later, one of our dentists will attach the abutment to the implant, which will eventually serve to hold the replacement tooth.
- Step Three – Once the abutment has healed, the replacement teeth will be fixed to the abutments. During this appointment, your dentist will ensure that your replacement teeth are the correct fit and match your natural smile.
